Private Health

Health coverage that doesn't eat your paycheck.

If you're self-employed or your job doesn't offer benefits, you've seen the marketplace prices. There's another route most people never hear about — private health coverage, built around how healthy you actually are.

Why marketplace plans cost so much

ACA marketplace plans have one price rule: everyone pays the same, healthy or not. That's great protection if you have serious health conditions. But if you're healthy, you're paying to balance out the pool.

Marketplace plans work well when subsidies do the heavy lifting. But if you're self-employed, retiring before 65, or your household earns past the subsidy cliff, you've seen the other side: a family plan can run more than a mortgage payment. That's the moment most people either overpay — or go without. Both are bad plans.

How the marketplace and subsidies really work

The private route

Private health coverage works differently. Because these plans can consider your health, healthy people often pay much less for solid coverage. We build coverage around your actual situation — who needs coverage, which doctors you see, and what you can spend.

And if the private route isn't your best fit — say a marketplace subsidy actually beats it, or a health condition makes ACA the smarter choice — we'll tell you. We're licensed for both sides of that line, and we place people on both sides of it every month.

Who this fits

Self-employed and 1099

Realtors, truckers, contractors, consultants — you need coverage that follows you, priced on your health rather than a one-size pool.

Small-business owners

Cover yourself, your family, and sometimes your team.

Early retirees

The bridge between your last day of work and Medicare at 65.

Healthy families without group coverage

Earning past the subsidy cliff and paying full marketplace price. Good health can actually lower your price on the private side.

Common questions

Is private coverage real insurance?+

Yes. These are insured plans from rated carriers. We'll show you exactly what's covered and what's not, in writing, before you enroll.

What if I have health conditions?+

Then the marketplace may honestly be your better route — it can't turn you down or charge you more. That's a real answer, and we'll help you enroll there if it wins.

Can I keep my doctor?+

We check your doctors and prescriptions against the plan's network before you sign anything. That check is part of every quote we run.

What about when I turn 65?+

That's the handoff to Medicare — and we handle that too. One firm, both sides of the line.
